The Aberdeen FC Heritage Trust is an independent charitable organisation working closely with Aberdeen FC in order to care for, maintain, and expand upon the historical records and memorabilia of the Club, its supporters, and the community is serves. Since 2008 the Trust has been steadily gathering artefacts and pieces of historical data which will be preserved for future generations. In order to continue with this effort funding is essential.
To this end we have arranged a fund raising evening to help us acquire further items such as programmes, player shirts, medals and other associated bits and pieces. In the longer term, as and when the Club relocates(!) we plan a museum and learning centre.
The event will comprise a football quiz specifically on Aberdeen FC. As many of you will have been at the Inn at the Park quizzes in years gone by you will know the tried and tested format – this one will be very similar but with the “twist” that’s it all revolves round Aberdeen FC!
We will also have a short auction and raffle on the evening.
Date is Friday 13 September 2013, and venue is the Menzies Hotel in Dyce, with an arrival time of 7pm for a prompt 7.30pm start. I would expect that proceedings will come to a close around midnight.
Entry fee is £100 for a team of 5. A buffet will be provided at half time.
