Aberdeen Willie MillerClub legends Willie Miller and Doug Rougvie, plus Dons-supporting BBC Scotland anchorman Richard Gordon, put their scribes on the secret flag - and yours can join theirs on this epic addition to Pittodrie.

It was announced at the beginning of the month on Aberdeen Mad that a group of Aberdeen supporters have joined forces with AFC Heritage to create a historic (and massive) banner.

Aberdeen Mad regular The Red Pimpernel approached AFC Heritage's Chris Gavin with the idea that Dolly Digital would design a banner to fill an 80ft-wide gap on the RDS - an idea that was embraced by the club.

The actual content of the banner is still hush-hush, and will be unveiled before the match against Dundee Utd on January 3rd, the Dons first home game of 2013 - 30 years on from the year that Aberdeen won two European trophies; the only Scottish club to do so.

Aberdeen Doug RougvieAnd to help raise cash for the banner and the charitable trust AFC Heritage, the organisers have been asking everyone associated with the club to sign the banner, all the while hoping to get some very important signatures from Aberdeen FC's history.

And with two Gothenburg Greats' signatures already on the flag alongside the Reds' lone voice in the Sportsound studio, there are sure be more Pittodrie heroes queuing up to get their name on this permanent addition to the AFC stadium.

Plus, of course, there is the opportunity for the most important people at the club - the supporters - to add your names to the massive new flag.

There will be an open day at Pittodrie on Sunday 11th November in the Richard Donald Stand concourse from 12-2pm, with former playing legends, some of the current squad, and other VIPs (like Angus the Bull) mingling with the supporters, and there'll be plenty of entertainment on offer for young and old.

Entry to this event will be free and fans that wish to sign the banner can do so and make a donation to AFC Heritage at the same time.
