Real Scottish People's League Week 18

Motherwell asserted their domination of the inaugural Real SPL with a devastating 3-0 win at the home of closest challengers St Johnstone. The Perth team's challenge was quashed thanks to two goals in the first half, and the Fir Park club never looked back adding a third midway through the second to continue their incredible away record - seven wins and one draw in eight matches on their travels.

Motherwell now have an 11-point lead at the top of the division, and closing that gap is a challenge that is beginning to look unsurmountable for the other nine RSPL clubs.

Relegation candidates Aberdeen and Inverness both allowed 2-0 leads to slip on their home turf this afternoon; the Granite City outfit to high-flying St Mirren, and the Highlanders to Dundee Utd. The Tangerines fought back superbly to take all three points in a 3-2 win and move up to third place, and at least the Dons managed to rescue a point despite a spirited comeback by the Saints to shuffle up to eighth in the league.

Dunfermline's match with Kilmarnock was the first casualty of the Scottish weather this season, being called off due to fog less than two hours before kick-off.
