Dons fan and former Fraserburgh winger Scott Murray joins Blue Square Premier new boys.

ABERDEEN-BORN winger Scott Murray has put pen to paper on a deal that takes him to Blue Square Premier new boys Bath City.

The 36-year-old Bristol City fans' favourite made 427 appearances during 11 years over two spells at Ashton Gate but spent last season at Yeovil.

The Scot has also played for Fraserburgh, Aston Villa and Reading and still has a part-time coaching role with Bristol City, and will be seen as a marquee signing by the Twerton Park support.

Bath City won the Conference South Play-off Final against Woking 1-0 in May this year (click here) and have returned to the Conference National for the first time since 1997.

Murray told Bath City's unofficial website: "I'm partial to a bit of cider so I should fit in well here."

Bath City manager Adie Britton told BBC Radio Bristol: "He brings vast experience and we all know what a character he is, certainly he'll bring something else to the dressing room.

"On the field, he can play in a lot of positions - down the right side, he can play behind the front man - he will fit in very well with the lads I've got."
