RICKY FOSTER had a hat-trick of assists to help round off the Dons South African tour in style with a dramatic 3-2 win.

Goals from Stevie Lovell, Darren Mackie and Steve Crawford will also give manager Jimmy Calderwood a striking headache in the build-up to next week's SPL opener against Hibs.

The only negative point from yesterday's game was the news that captain Russell Anderson limped off with a hamstring injury early in the game, and questions will now be asked if the Dons' most influential player will be fit for the Easter Road clash.

Benoni Premier United, who joined in at the last minute when the Dons' previous opponents Wit pulled out of the fixture, took the lead in the 17th minute.

The Dons levelled in the 36th minute when a brilliant Richard Foster through ball left Steve Lovell one on one with the keeper and he stroked the ball in from inside the box.

Foster then crossed from the left to see the ball come back off the crossbar from a Lovell header before being tapped in by the poaching Darren Mackie.
The Dons were undone by a Benoni goal just before half-time to make it 2-2 at the break.

A disjointed second half was littered with substitutions as Calderwood looked to give everyone a run-out, but with four minutes to go a Foster free kick was knocked to Stevie Crawford who lashed the ball into the net off the crossbar.
