Fabiano in action for Swansea - has joined the Dons
ABERDEEN yesterday signed French midfielder Nicolas Fabiano on a 1 year contract. The Dons had previously tried to sign the playmaker before the March transfer deadline - but some undisclosed problems meant the deal couldn't go through in time.

The PSG playmaker has previously had a spell on loan at Swansea - whose fans seemed to think he was an excellent player who sadly they couldn't afford to keep.

The move for the 21 year old cams as a boost to the players before taking the field in Moldova last night - where they battled out a 0 - 0 draw with Nistru Otaci in Chisinau.

The Dons dominated the game for over an hour but failed to grab the goal that would have surely killed the tie and settled the nerves - which led to Nistru putting us under immense pressure towards the end of the game.

The closest Nistru came to scoring was after Peter Kjaer uncharacteristically fumbled a shot and had to be alert to recover before the rebound was put in.

From the Radio Coverage it seems that Russell Anderson had yet another superb game and will surely be knocking on the door of the Scotland squad before too long.

The Dons are now unbeaten in their last 6 away ties in Europe.

Roll on 1pm and todays UEFA Cup 1st Round draw.
