Dons Announce Double Swoop

Smith has signed a three-year contract with the Dons and will battle with Richie Byrne for the troublesome left-back slot with the Reds.

Striker Daal joins the Dons as an amateur until the end of the season.

19-year-old former England youth internationalist Smith goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash with St. Mirren, as reported by Aberdeen-Mad this morning.

Smith will wear the Dons' number 17 shirt while Daal will sport the number 26. The club shop is presumably expecting a rush on for letter 'J's from people who put "Smith" on the back of their new kit this summer.
