Dons Sign Strike Kid

ABERDEEN have completed their second striker signing of the transfer window, snapping up teen sensation David Ross from Inverurie Locos.

The 17-year-old striker has put in some impressive performances for the Harlaw Park side this season, and the Dons have swooped to capture the kid before any other clubs come sniffing around.

The Aberdeen-born youngster put pen to paper at lunchtime in the Pittodrie boardroom and then went straight off to train with some of the other under-19s.

Ross will go straight into Neil Cooper's squad and may well be one to watch as he attempts to climb through the Pittodrie ranks.

With Jimmy Calderwood unafraid to plunge the likes of fellow 17-year-old Chris 'Phil' Maguire straight in at the deep end, Ross will be keen to impress and get his chance in the first team sooner rather than later.
