Fyvie Out Till Xmas

TALENTED Dons starlet Fraser Fyvie's worst fears have been realised after being told the injury that saw him stretchered off at the weekend will leave him on the treatment table until Christmas.

The 16-year-old suffered ankle ligament damage after a heavy challenge by Ian Murray as Hibs beat nine-man Dons 2-0 at Easter Road.

Fyvie had a scan today to determine the extent of his injury, and Dons manager Mark McGhee told reporters at a news conference this afternoon that the midfielder will be out for four-to-six weeks.

The Dons will be hoping that the Scotland Under-17 captain will make a speedy recovery and regain the midfield slot he has made his own this season.

Murray's tackle has been heavily criticised by boss McGhee and Dons players Gary McDonald and Jamie Langfield, as has the decision by blundering referee Steven Nicholls not to punish the former Rangers flop.
