ABERDEEN keeper Jamie Langfield has been called up to George Burley's Scotland squad for World Cup qualifiers.

The Dons shot-stopper has been part of a defence that has let in only one goal in the last three games, despite receiving criticism from fans for fumbles and feeble kicking and distribution.

Langfield, who has played for Scotland in B Internationals, has been part of previous international squads but has yet to make his full debut.

Scotland open their qualifying campaign against Macedonia in Skopje on Saturday.
