LAST season's top scorer Steve Lovell has started jogging again just a week after a groin operation.

The Dons striker is making a speedy recovery from his surgery and it is thought that he will be back in time to face Motherwell at Pittodrie in November.

That means that it will be four months into the season before the Dons' supporters see Lovell and Lee Miller pair up in attack for the Reds.

Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood said: "Steve is back on the pitch and has been doing some jogging.

"Thankfully he isn't feeling any pain and is coming on."
