LEE MILLER is desperate to kick start his international career by scoring goals at Pittodrie.

The new Dons signing looked on in envy as Scotland's three strikers Kris Boyd, Kenny Miller and Gary O'Connor got on the scoresheet during the humiliation of the Faroe Islands on Saturday.

23-year-old Miller won his first cap in May's Kirin Cup against Japan and confessed that he would love to hit the ground running at Pittodrie to draw the attention of Scotland manager Walter Smith again.

He told reporters today: "I am no different to anybody else and I would love to play for my country, so hopefully a move to a club as big as Aberdeen will help me get back in the reckoning.

"I have been involved in a couple of squads now and I have really enjoyed my time with Scotland.

"They played really well on Saturday against the Faroe Islands and scored a lot of goals, which I would love to be a part of.

"First and foremost I need to be playing well for my club in order to get the international recognition, so that is my major ambition for now."
