Real Scottish People's League Week 32
There was a full set of Real SPL fixtures this week, with every one of them kicking off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
The surprise result came at Rugby Park, where Kilmarnock put a broom handle in Motherwell's spokes in the form of a 2-0 win. The Ayrshire team followed up their League Cup triumph against tournament invitees from across the Irish Sea, Celtic, with a comfortable victory over the runaway RSPL leaders.
And this week, the chasing pair did not miss out on their opportunity to close the gap for a change; Dundee Utd winning 2-0 at Easter Road and St Johnstone completing a well-deserved 2-1 victory over fourth-placed Hearts.
At the bottom, Dunfermline gleaned a vital point from their home game against free-falling St Mirren to take advantage of Hibs' loss and crawl closer to the second-bottom Edinburgh club.
The mid-table contest between Aberdeen and Inverness ended in a 1-0 win for the Highland club, which brings them level on points with their Saturday opponents, and both these teams will now be looking to steal the final European slot from fourth-placed Hearts as the season enters its run-in.
