Real Scottish People's League Week 29
It won't take many more weeks like RSPL Week 29 for Motherwell to be crowned inaugral Real League Champions - they were the only team to score on Saturday as they swept aside bottom club Dunfermline 2-0 at East End Park, smashing through the 50-point barrier as they did.
Dundee Utd went four points clear in second place and will have the job of keeping leaders 'Well honest during the run-in - as well as being poised should the Lanarkshire club suffer a late-season collapse. The Terrors deservedly won a well-fought and entertaining Monday night live match 3-0 against Caley Thistle at Tannadice to remain 11 points off top spot. The Highland club meanwhile dropped a place to seventh.
Both other Saturday matches, as indicated at the top of this summary, ended 0-0 which meant mixed fortunes for those teams taking part. Hibs will be happy to have moved another point away from the Pars at the foot of the table, while fans of their opponents - draw specialists St Mirren - will have had a very familiar feeling at 4:45pm.
Meanwhile, St Johnstone's title challenge is surely over after their Rugby Park stalemate whereas the home team will be fairly satisfied by inching further away from the relegation battle below them.
