Rogvi Goes Holm

ABERDEEN have agreed to mutually terminate the contract of young defender Rogvi Holm.

The 19-year-old prospect, who was recently capped at Under 21 level by the Faroe Islands, left the club at the end of last week.

The situation seems similar to that of fellow Faroese player Gilli Sorensen, who was allowed to leave Pittodrie last year due to homesickness.

However Aberdeen re-signed striker Sorensen from Faroese side TB Tvoroyrar last month due to an pre-arranged agreement, although there is no indication that there is a similar deal in place regarding Holm.

A club spokesman said: "Due to a lack of first team opportunities the club has agreed to let [Rogvi Holm] return home.

"Everyone at AFC would like to wish Rogvi well for the future."
