ABERDEEN suffered a double whammy at the hands of Falkirk this week.

The Dons reserves went down 1-0 to an experienced Falkirk second string at the Falkirk Stadium yesterday afternoon.

A Pedro Moutinho goal on 55 minutes sealed the win in a game that saw comeback striker Dyron Daal substituted after taking ill 30 minutes into the game.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen U19s recent unbeaten run, that included a win against runaway league leaders Celtic, came to an end on Sunday.

In appalling conditions at Balgownie, a stark contrast to the conditions some of the Dons kids experienced last week at the La Manga tourney in Spain, the U19s succumbed to a 3-0 defeat.

The Pittodrie youngsters had several chances during the game, but the Falkirk bairns took theirs to create the impression of a slightly more one-sided game than it actually was.

Aberdeen reserves: Soutar, Donald, S. Smith (Neill), Winter, Strachan, Touzani, Bagshaw, McVitie, Daal (Kiely), Miller, Maguire.

Aberdeen Under 19s: Stewart, Crawford, Stuart Smith, Bagshaw, Thomas, Strachan, Jones, McVitie, Paton (Stirling Smith), Kiely (Lamberty), Neill
