Fraser FyvieABERDEEN youngster Fraser Fyvie suffered Nordic Cup Final heartbreak as the young Scots crashed to an extra time defeat to the Auld Enemy in Norway.

Fyvie scored another stunning goal as he captained the Scotland Under-17s in the final, but could do nothing to stop an English comeback as the Scots eventually lost the game 3-2.

The young Dons midfielder scored a two goals - one a 25-yard screamer - as Scotland put Iceland and Finland to the sword last week.

A 0-0 draw against Sweden on Friday put the Scots in today's final against England's Under-17s.

And the game started brightly for Scotland when inspirational captain Fyvie scored another spectacular goal from outside the box on 8 minutes to put the dark blues ahead.

Just before half-time Jamie Walker doubled the Scots' lead, but England fought back with two goals in a 3 minute period of the second half to take the game to extra-time.

The crushing blow to Fyvie and his team-mates came on the 95th minute when Jake Bidwell scored the decisive goal to hand the silverware to England.
