The last time we scored five goals in the SPL at home before Saturday's satisfying crushing of Kilmarnock was over 10 years ago, also against Killie, and the Dons went on to finish bottom of the SPL.

This will not be seen as an omen though, as this timely victory (following as it did a disappointing home loss to Motherwell) puts the Dons well clear of the bottom of the table and we can finally start looking up.

The difference between last Tuesday and Saturday was night and day, and shows just how important new boy Rob Milsom has become already. His calmness, good use of the ball and quiet industry has been a revelation in the AFC engine room and it's no wonder that the boss is keen to tie him down to a new deal.
