ABERDEEN

A curious time for Aberdeen fans just now, because despite some clubs having to squeeze in games every couple of days, our last SPL match was at the beginning of March and we don't have another until the first week of April.

Yet despite the enforced garden centre and DIY superstore visits on Saturday, we arrived home to the welcome news that suddenly AFC is back in the hunt for a top six place thanks to Inverness, Motherwell and St Johnstone's dropped points.

A disappointment, however, is the timing of our cup semi-final – a Sunday, 12:45pm kick-off. This will deplete the number of travelling Reds and represents another victory for TV over the supporters – on top of the usual advantage to Celtic who play the ‘neutral’ tie in their home city at the residence of their pals, the SFA.
