ABERDEEN

There’s little more satisfying than getting a late winning goal when the opposing manager has been caught on camera telling a player coming off the pitch to be substituted to slow down in order to waste time. Regardless of the circumstances of the fortunate own goal, there is no sympathy for Jim McIntyre here as he tried to ‘anti-football’ Dunfermline’s way to a replay. Try playing football next time, Jim.

There’s always a payoff to bouts of good fortune however, and in our case it’s injuries during games. For the fourth time in the last three matches, substitutions have been required in the first half-hour of a game due to injury. As we have only lost to Celtic since Brown arrived, it would be interesting to see what he can do with an injury-free team.
