Scotsman Fanzone Remixed — January 13th 2010
Feature by Jannie Versace
Updated Wednesday, 13th January 2010
There's a new contributor writing Aberdeen-Mad's piece in the Scotsman newspaper this week... and, er, it was written before last night's game...

ABERDEEN

Crowded round the tranny, tuning in to the Scottish Cup draw — OK, it was t’internet and I wasn't huddled round it — the Dons landed a fifth round tie at either Raith Rovers or Airdrie, courtesy of Saturday's comfortable canter against Hearts' assortment of carthorses who simply weren't at the races.

The Red Army may have reasons to be cheerful but as domestic cups have offered little solace in recent years, any draw against lower league opposition conjures plenty excitement curbed by now-familiar trepidation. Can McGhee finally erase the JC nightmares?

At least we're through without breaking sweat and could be "dancing on the streets of Raith" come February. Meantime, the big freeze might not have thawed but Hearts' feebleness proved they remain on the cusp of meltdown. Alex Salmond, Stephen Hendry, Sir Chris Hoy... your boys took one hell of a beating!

See the condensed version of this article and those from other SPL clubs' fans at: http://sport.scotsman.com/newsfront.aspx?SectionID=14223, and in The Scotsman newspaper every Wednesday during the season.
