Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood has used his sprawling network of Dutch connections to... (wait a minute. Start again! - Ed)

New Dons gaffer Derek McInnes took charge of Aberdeen in April and, despite a promising start, is ready to hit the ground running in the summer transfer market.

McInnes is unbeaten after three matches as AFC boss, admittedly playing largely meaningless games in the bottom six, and is already preparing for his first full season in the Pittodrie dugout.

Murphy, 22, was loaned by Arsenal to Brentford and Preston North End before he moved to Dutch second tier club Telstar on a one-year deal last summer.

A post on official Aberdeen website RedWeb says that former Arsenal youth player Murphy is "one of a number of players the manager will assess in the weeks before the season comes to a close".
