Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes is a major doubt for the club's first-ever match with newly-promoted Rangers.
The Irishman was a late withdrawal from the Dons' 1-0 Betfred Cup win over St Johnstone on Thursday after suffering pain his hamstring.
This will be a major worry for Aberdeen as Hayes tore the same hamstring earlier in the season.
Dons captain Ryan Jack is still missing form the first XI with a knee injury.
