Adams May Stay

Dons gaffer Jimmy Calderwood is prepared to hand transfer-listed attacking midfielder Derek Adams a Pittodrie reprieve if he agrees to switch position from midfield to attack. The versatile former Motherwell captain can play in various forward positions, but the Tangoman's difficulties in signing a centre-forward may force Adams to focus on the out-and-out striker role.

"I have no problem with Derek still being here at Pittodrie. He is a great professional, a real credit to himself and the club," Calderwood told The Scotsman. "But If Derek did stay, it would have to be as an extra striker."
