BIG MATCH BUILD-UP: Severin - We Will 'Cope' Against Celts

ABERDEEN captain Scott Severin is looking for the Dons to repeat their historic performance against FC Copenhagen on Sunday in order to play in Europe again next season.

The skipper, who has gagged himself and the rest of the players from speaking to local newspaper the Evening Express, told Aberdeen-Mad that the team is buzzing ahead of the crucial cup clash.

And well they might be, for the game is likely to be the last chance for the club to reach Europe next season - and after this term's exploits, the players and fans are desperate to return.

But it will take a Euro-style performance for the Dons to progress to the Scottish Cup semi-final at the expense of the Hoops, according to Severin.

He said: "Nobody is in any doubt that it will take a massive performance on our behalf to get through but we're really looking forward to it.

"The pressure is on Celtic rather than us, nobody expects us to come through, so all we can do is give it our best shot.

"It's very like the Copenhagen game in that way, everything comes down to just the 90 minutes. That night we created five or six chances and took four of them, and it's not just about the boys up front but about all of us taking the chances when they come up.

"If we can create the same number of chances and be more clinical, it could make for a very interesting afternoon."

TICKETS for the Scottish Cup Quarter Final clash with Celtic are still on general sale, at normal SPL prices.
