ABERDEEN have joined the race to sign Middleborough midfielder Willo Flood.
The former Manchester City and Celtic midfielder, who has suffered with injuries since his move to the championship had been set to seal a return to Dundee United where he made his name.
However Dons manager Craig Brown has stepped in and will hope he can persuade the Dubliner to move to the Granite City.
Flood is available on a free transfer follow his release by Tony Mowbray.
