Budgie's Banging Them In

John 'Budgie' Stewart netted another brace in the Dons 3-1 reserve team victory against Falkirk this afternoon, including one from the penalty spot.

Budgie has now scored three doubles in the reserves, and seven goals in his last 5 games. With the Dons first team relying on Jamie Smith for their goals, Stewart is staking a genuine claim for promotion to the seniors and epitomises the good work done by Sandy Clark behind the scenes.

A fierce strike from substitute Andy Bagshaw gave the Dons reserves their third goal in a game that sees Clark's side strengthen their position at the top of the SPL reserve table.

Aberdeen: Langfield, Foster, Donald, Skinner, Considine, Baas, Macaulay, Winter, Stewart, Maguire (Bagshaw), Dempsey. Subs: Kelly, Thomson, Neill, McVittie.
