Clark has suffered with several serious injuries since returning to the club from Plymouth Argyle in 2011, when he was given a three-year contract by then-manager Craig Brown.

Despite recovering from his latest injury setback sustained last summer, Clark has been unable to force his way into Derek McInnes's side.

Clark had been in and out of the Dons first team until the peak of his Dons career in season 2006-07 when he shared full-back duties with Michael Hart helping the club to its highest league placing in a generation. He moved to Plymouth Argyle halfway through the following season.

Aberdeen Mad wishes Chris Clark all the best for the future.
