CIS Cup 2nd Round Draw

The draw for the Second Round of the CIS Insurance League Cup was made this afternoon, and it paired Aberdeen with Berwick Rangers for the second year in succession.

Last year's game against the Borderers, who will face another 500-mile round trip, saw the Dons record a comfortable 3-0 win, with Zander Diamond on target along with Derek Adams, now at Livingston, and misfit forward Steven Craig.

This fixture will be a fillip for those who believe that the League Cup should be changed into a British Cup - as it is the second year in a row that we play an English team!

The match will be played on week beginning August 22nd.
