Craig Calm About Performance

ABERDEEN boss Craig Brown was refusing to get carried away after his side recorded their highest win of the season in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with a 5-0 victory over a poor Kilmarnock.

Scott Vernon and Sone Aluko gave the Dons a two-goal half-time lead before a Chris Maguire penalty, a Rory McArdle tap-in and a strike from substitute Josh Magennis completed the scoring.

The Dons are now seven points behind sixth-placed Inverness with a game in hand but Brown is keeping his feet firmly on the ground.

He said: "It was a pleasing result, particularly after the midweek disappointment against Motherwell.

"I'm not getting carried away and talking about the top six, all we are focusing on is consolidation in the SPL.

"If we can win some games between now and the end of the season we may emerge on the fringe of the six but I have never set that as the target."
