Dons Draw Airdrie Or Pars In Cup

ABERDEEN face a tricky away tie with either Airdrie United or Jimmy Calderwood's former club Dunfermline Athletic in the Homecoming Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

The draw opens up the possibility that Aberdeen could reach the Scottish Cup semi-finals without having faced an SPL team.

The Dons still have to play their Fifth Round fixture with East Fife after adverse weather conditions forced the postponement of that tie.

However should the Reds successfully negotiate that hurdle, they will face the winner of another rearranged tie away from home.

The quarter-final tie will be played on Saturday the 7th of March pending changes for television coverage.

The Dons' rescheduled Fifth Round clash with East Fife is on Tuesday 17th of February, with a 19:45pm kick-off.
