Dons Draw Dundee

ABERDEEN have been pulled out of the hat just after Dundee for the second time this season.

Should the Dons beat Raith in next Tuesday night's replay, they will face Dundee at Dens Park in the Active Nation Scottish Cup Quarter Final.

Aberdeen crashed out of the third round of the Co-op Insurance Cup at Dens earlier this season.

Despite dominating most of the opening period of that game, the Dons went a goal down late in the first half. When Dundee made it 2-0 early in the second half, most of the boisterous travelling support feared the worst.

However, the team showed great character after that and charged back at the Dark Blues and substitute Michael Paton, getting a rare chance to play through the middle up front, put the match into extra time with two striker's goals.

In extra time the Dons took control, but another howler from Jamie Langfield let Dundee in to score a decisive third goal against the run of play, and despite a late onslaught by the Dons they couldn't rescue the game.

The full Scottish Cup draw is:

St Mirren/Rangers v Dundee Utd
Hibernian v Ross County
Kilmarnock v Celtic
Dundee v Raith/Aberdeen
