Dons Draw Jambos In Cup

Aberdeen have been given another tough away trip as reward for their superb fightback against Dundee United in the Third Round of the Tennent's Scottish Cup.

The Dons will face Graeme Rix's faltering Hearts side at Tynecastle in the Fourth Round in what is one of the ties of the round. The fixture will be played on the 4th or 5th of February.

The full draw:

Inverness CT or Ayr Utd v Partick Thistle
Spartans v St Mirren
Queen of the South or Hamilton v Alloa Ath or Livingston
Hearts v Aberdeen
Airdrie United v Dundee or Stranraer
Falkirk v Ross County
Rangers v Hibernian
Clyde v Gretna

On the bright side, Hearts have never beaten Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup at Tynecastle or Pittodrie, their sole victory coming at Hampden in 1996's cup semi-final. The Dons will need to show the spirit they did in the second half of yesterday's game to keep that record intact and enter a quarter final draw that will be missing several top SPL teams.
