Dons Face February Fixture Farce

ABERDEEN are looking forward to a fixture pile-up in February after the SPL released details of rearranged matches yesterday.

The Dons' home fixture with Celtic, postponed due to the recent snow, has been set for February 1st.

That means Aberdeen will play Celtic three times in the space of 10 days, at Celtic Park in the SPL on January 22nd, and at Hampden in the League Cup semi-final on January 29th before the midweek game at Pittodrie.

Plus, the Scottish Cup fifth round is scheduled for February 5th, so if the Dons reach that round and are drawn against Celtic it will be four in two weeks!

Aberdeen also face two other rearranged games in a congested February, against Motherwell (Feb 15th) and Hamilton (Feb 22nd), both at Pittodrie, meaning a run of four home matches in a row.

The game against Celtic at Pittodrie is being shown live on ESPN.
