Dons Reserves Hammer The Arabs

Four second half goals saw a Dons reserves side brimming with first-team players run out winners in a one-sided SPL reserve league contest against a very inexperienced Dundee United at Forfar's Station Park.

After a goalless first half, which was totally dominated by Aberdeen, the Dons finally went 1-0 in front midway through the second half when big Lubo Blaha headed home from a Scott Morrison cross. A minute later, Aberdeen doubled their advantage when Steven Craig slipped the ball to teenager David Donald who scored with a left foot shot. Dons' misfit Craig turned from goal provider to goal scorer ten minutes later finishing off a move involving Gary Dempsey and Jamie Winter and with a minute remaining, substitute Kiely scored number four with a close range effort.

The Aberdeen team was: Preece, Donald, Morrison, Macaulay (McInnes 70), Byrne, Considine, Foster (Kiely 81), Winter, Blaha, Craig, Dempsey. Subs not used: Kelly, Bagshaw, Thomson.
