Aberdeen today announced a Valentine's Day marriage with Apex Tubulars that will see the logo of the Aberdeen based oil service company adorning the Dons shirts from the start of the 2006/07 season.

The two year deal sees Apex Tubulars becoming the eighth company to appear on the Club's playing shirt replacing current sponsor ADT. Can you name them all?

Commenting on the deal, Duncan Fraser, AFC's Executive Director, Head of Operations said: "The Club is delighted to secure a two year partnership with Apex Tubulars which will see them become the Club's new sponsor. Apex Tubulars is e a leading local business and has been longstanding supporters of the Club.

"The company has ambitious plans for developing its business and sees the partnership with Aberdeen FC as being a key way to achieving its objectives.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank our current sponsor ADT for their fantastic support over the last two seasons which I'm sure will continue once their sponsorship deal with the Club concludes."

Apex Tubulars is a leading supplier of down hole casing and tubing to the oil and gas sector and are headquartered in Aberdeen. The firm has recently undergone a major rebrand and corporate identity restructure and views the sponsorship of Aberdeen FC as a major platform with which to aid in the achievement of its exciting business development plans.

The company was founded in 1984 by Donald Milne, but changed hands in 2000 when it was bought out by its management team, led by Managing Director Jim Geddie. Since then it has grown considerably and had an annual turnover of £18 million in 2005.

Mr Geddie said: "As a lifelong Aberdeen fan this is a dream come true for me to see my company name alongside that of Aberdeen Football Club.

"Apex Tubulars has grown considerably and we are now at the stage that it makes perfect business sense, as well as emotional sense for me, for us to become the official sponsor of the Club. We are certain this will be a rewarding relationship for all concerned in the seasons ahead."
