The Irishman was injured in the Dons’ Scottish League Cup tie with Alloa Athletic on Tuesday.
The news will come as a blow to Dons boss Derek McInnes, as Flood was having an excellent start to his career as a Dons player.
Better news for McInnes is that Josh Magennis and Jonny Hayes shook off knocks to resume training with the rest of the team this week.
