Fulham Reject Move For Kev

RedWeb has revealed that Kevin McNaughton was training with his Pittodrie colleagues as normal today after Fulham decided not go ahead with his visit to Craven Cottage. The reason given is Chris Coleman's renewed interest in Chelsea's England international Wayne Bridge, which seems implausible considering the difference in value of the players.

The 23-year-old, whose agent John Viola has been linking Kev with several unlikely destinations, turned down Aberdeen's offer of a new contract last month. The latest story is that he is attracting the interest of tiny Norwegian side FK Molde, managed by ex-Dons striker and philosopher Arild Stavrum.

Aberdeen may be slightly keener to retain the services of McNaughton after his strong display at centre-half in Saturday's victory over Hibs, but they will presumably not be sticking out the begging-bowl to an agent that will have few friends at the club following a spat with former Chief Executive Keith Wyness.

Meanwhile, a poll carried out on Aberdeen-Mad has the Pittodrie support split virtually 50:50 as to whether Aberdeen should retain the services of the talented but frustrating utility player.
