Hartley Not Automatic Pick

DONS boss Craig Brown says that club captain Paul Hartley will not automatically return to the line-up for tomorrow evening's game with Hamilton at Pittodrie.

Brown was delighted with the midfield performance in the 5-0 win over Killie on Saturday, particularly following the poor showing in that department against Motherwell last week.

And with Hartley able to return after suspension due to a red card picked up in last Tuesday's defeat, there is no guarantee that the skipper will slot straight in to a winning team.

Brown said: "Paul Hartley does not automatically come back but he is a very influential player here. We have got to look at our resources.

"I have just got the report landed on my desk this morning from my man at the Motherwell Hamilton game, so once we take all factors into consideration we will pick the team."
