Peter Simpson
Peter was a former Chief Inspector with Grampian Police who took early retirement four years ago prior to joining the Dons.
Executive Director Duncan Fraser told RedWeb: "We are all in a state of shock right now. Peter was a hugely popular and well respected member of the staff and this came right out of the blue.
"Pittodrie will certainly be a poorer place without him and our thoughts are naturally with Morag and the family at this tragic time."
Aberdeen-Mad would like to echo those last sentiments.
