John 'Budgie' Stewart scored one goal and set up another as the Dons reserves won 3-1 against Motherwell at Ochilview. The comfortable victory means that the second string remain top of the SPL reserve league table.

Gary Dempsey, the only first-team regular in the side, set up the first goal for Kyle Macaulay in 12 minutes. Twenty minutes later it was 2-0 when Stewart threaded the ball through to Andy Bagshaw who slid the ball into the net from fifteen yards.

Regular first-team player David Clarkson hauled Well back into the game early in the second half, but Budgie rounded off the deserved win with 6 minutes left on the ref's watch.
