Cup Replay Team News

ABERDEEN'S injury problems are slightly abating ahead of the Tennent's Scottish Cup replay at Easter Road tonight.

It was reported earlier this week that as many as seven players could be missing for the Dons, stretching their player resources to the limit.

However, with two matches in less than 48 hours looming, the tail-end of the flu virus is clearing up, plus defensive Bravehearts Russell Anderson and Michael Hart are preparing to play through the pain barrier for the Aberdeen cause.

It now seems likely that only long-term injury victims Jamie Smith, Zander Diamond, Richie Byrne and Craig Brewster will miss out on the double-header, as long as no injuries are picked up tonight.

Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood told RedWeb: "Michael Hart and Russell Anderson both trained [yesterday] but they both only have a 50/50 chance of playing.

"On a positive note Davie Donald will be back in tomorrow after he was down with the flu yesterday and [Dyron] Daal is back as well and he might be fit for tomorrow.

"We don't have too many defenders at the moment because of injury and illness, but knowing Hart and Anderson, the way they are, hopefully they'll start."
