ABERDEEN'S top scorer Dyron Daal will be out for around 6 weeks after picking up an injury this week.

The big Dutchman broke his hand in the Dons 2-2 reserve draw against Rangers on Tuesday, and will not be fit to return to the Dons' bench until December at the earliest.

Zander Diamond and Dan Smith will also miss this Saturday's visit of bottom club Dundee United through injury, but both players are expected to return in time for the Monday night fixture against Hibs.

Better news for the Dons is that captain Russell Anderson and winger Jamie Smith have come through fitness tests this week and will return to the starting line up against United.
