Dons At Full Strength

ABERDEEN manager Jimmy Calderwood faces a selection headache for the first time this season in the build-up to Saturday's crucial match with Dunfermline.

Jamie Langfield, Barry Nicholson, Jamie Smith and Zander Diamond have all passed fitness tests, and are joined in the squad by Dyron Daal who has quickly shaken off his hand injury.

This is great news for the Dons as they face up to a tricky run of fixtures in December, including matches with both halves of the Old Firm, and UEFA rivals Hearts and Kilmarnock.

Calderwood's men have slumped in form over the Christmas period in the last two seasons, and it is vital that the Dons pick up three points at East End Park to keep up their recent momentum.

Calderwood told RedWeb: "Out of a squad of 23 players we have 22 fit which is great. Only Byrne is out at present.

"Touzani will be in the squad for Saturday and Daal is looking sharp in training so I have some selection headaches.

"It's good to have so many of our players fit as it raises the standard of training as well.

"We are taking a big crowd down to Dunfermline on Saturday and we really don't want to let them down."
