Dons Fans Delight At Semi Date

ABERDEEN'S Co-Operative Insurance League Cup semi-final against Celtic will be played at 3pm on Saturday of 29th January, 2011 at Hampden Park.

The traditional Saturday kick-off time is great news for Dons fans, and it could mean a bumper crowd heads down to spur the club on in its quest for its first silverware in 15 years.

Supporters on the Stand Free messageboard showed their delight yesterday, with some suggesting that the umber of fans flocking south could be as much as 20,000.

However, even half that number would create a boistrous atmosphere, and possibly outnumber the Celtic fans if the mopish self-appointed best fans in the world go ahead with a laughable boycott of the game as has been suggested.

Ticket news will follow on the official Aberdeen FC website, so keep an eye on it and on Aberdeen-Mad for more details.
