Aberdeen's second string went 1-0 up in the first half thanks to a Scott Morrison free-kick. Hibs equalised with a goal from the rebound after David Preece could not hold on to a shot. The winner was netted by John 'Budgie' Stewart from left hand side of the penalty box. New 'amateur' signing Gary Dempsey gained more match fitness in this game as he continues his recovery from injury.
