Darren Young - says group want to stick together
According to the Evening Express, seven of Aberdeen's young stars want to get new deals sorted out, and pledge their future to the Pittodrie club.

Darren Young, Derek Young, Russell Anderson, Phil McGuire, Darren Mackie, Jamie McAllister and Kevin Rutkiewicz are all out of contract in the summer. Dons boss Ebbe Skovdahl has told Keith Wyness that he wants to keep the 7- who are all free to talk to other clubs from January - at Pittodrie.

Skipper Darren Young told the Evening Express that the 7 have decided to stick together.

"We have spoken about it at length and the consensus of opinion is we all want to stay" said Darren.

"We all want to get the contract talks sorted out and signed ASAP"

He feels that knowing the club want to keep the majority of the current squad together will boost confidence and help the remainder of the current season.

"The biggest fear was that one or two of us would sign deals then discover the rest were leaving. We want to stick together as a team because we feel there are a lot of good thing ahead at Aberdeen. It's good the club are dealing with the contract situation a bit earlier than they did last year.Getting our futures for the next 2 or 3 years sorted out would boost our confidence and give us all a big lift."

Aberdeen football club said on their official website today that they would not comment on any contract talks or transfer speculation until any such deals have been concluded.
