Healing Lovell

LAST season's top scorer Steve Lovell has recovered from the injury that kept him out of Aberdeen's 3-0 victory over Dunfermline last week.

However the striker, who picked up an ankle knock in training last week, may find his position in the Dons first team has been filled by Darren Mackie.

Mackie has been on a run of scoring that has seen him find the net four times in the last two games, and Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood will have to decide which one of his hot shots partners Lee Miller up front for the crunch match with Celtic this weekend.

Karim Touzani and Dyron Daal played 90 minutes of the midweek reserve fixture, but perhaps that is not something they will want to remember as the Dons' second string were horsed 5-1 by Motherwell at Fir Park.

However, winger Jamie Smith is struggling to recover from a groin injury in time to face Celtic, and Zander Diamond is also doubtful.

Who do you think should start up front for the Dons in the big game on Saturday?
