DONS boss Jimmy Calderwood believes his team are finally beginning to hit form after a summer of intensive transfer activity.

Around half the team was moved on and replaced before the start of the season, and the new players took some time to gel at Pittodrie.

It took the Dons until the start of November to finally record a victory on their own patch after going five matches without a win at home.

But since beating Kilmarnock on November 1, Aberdeen have recorded four wins on the bounce and a Lee Miller first-half double gave the Dons another vital three points against Falkirk on Saturday.

Calderwood acknowledged it had taken time for the new players in his squad to adjust to life at Pittodrie.

He said: "We had six new players coming into the team at the start of the season and it takes time for them all to gel.

"The players are still getting to know each other and to know what it means to play for a club the size of Aberdeen but that's four games we have won on the bounce now."
