ABERDEEN FC were incorporated on 18th April 2003. This will mean next year will not only see the 20th aniversary of the Dons' greatest achievement, when they defeated Real Madrid to win the Cup Winners Cup, it will also be Aberdeen's centeneary year.

AFC100 will be organising a number of events in order to mark this occasion.

There will be numerous opportunities for businesses to become involved - for further details see the AFC100 site

The celebrations will be kicked off with a hogmany celebration at Pittodrie:

To kick off the Centenary celebrations in style, we will be seeing in the New Year with a bang, at an exclusive Hogmanay Dinner Dance at Pittodrie Stadium. A formal dinner and dance with top table guests, speeches and entertainment, rounded off with a live band, will be the backdrop to the start of the biggest birthday party the North of Scotland has ever seen. The New Year and launch will be marked with a spectacular fireworks display over Pittodrie at midnight. To book your table at this much sought after event download a booking form

The most high profile and talked about events in the afc100 calendar will be held on the 13th and 14th June 2003. The pitch at Pittodrie, which has been home to some of the greatest moments in the Club's history, will be transformed into a prestigious and spectacular venue for the Official Centenary Gala Evening on June 13th and the Official Centenary Dinner on June 14th. A huge marquee will be erected on the pitch and will play host to 1000 people on each evening. Both evenings will feature a 5 course meal, parade of Official Centenary Legends, speakers from the world of football and a key note speech from one of the Club's greatest ever Legends. The Gala Evening will be set in stunning surroundings, and will be a special night that you can confidently invite your key customers to enjoy. The Centenary Dinner will be a must for all fans to attend as football and, more specifically, the Club's tremendous heritage and greatest moments from the first 100 years are sure to be the 'dish of the day'. Be an official afc100 partner

afc100 will be one of the most high profile brands that will exist in and around Aberdeen and the North of Scotland in the lead up to and during 2003. This is an opportunity not to be missed by any business whose customers have an affinity with Aberdeen Football Club. Remember the Centenary is about 100 years of relationship - your customers may not necessarily be directly involved with the Club today but they may want to be associated with some element of the Club's historic past. This is the ideal opportunity to benefit from that association. For only £1000+VAT per annum the Club has created an 'official partner status' that will enable businesses to use the official afc100 and the AFC partner logos on its stationery, vehicle livery, website, signage, point of sale and promotional material. Partners will also benefit from priority status when applying for tickets for official afc100 events and have the first option on any upgrade sponsor opportunities. For more information about official partner status email afc100@enable-group.com <mailto:afc100@enable-group.com> , call 01224 595577 or speak to the Club's Corporate Sales and Sponsorship Manager Harvey Smith on 01224 650426, email harvey@afc.co.uk <mailto:harvey@afc.co.uk> .

Your company has the chance to become a permanent part of the Club's history by having your company's name and message set in granite to form part of Aberdeen Football Club's Centenary Way. We will be creating an area outside the Richard Donald Stand that will become known as Centenary Waywhich will be made up of hexagonal granite paving setts, each engraved with a unique inscription. These will be laid in the ground to create a walkway of names and messages.
